Spider Mite Predators

N. californicus, M. longipes and G. occidentalis

Adults are beige-pink in color.  First and second stage nymphs and adults are predacious.  Adults have 8 legs, prey on thrips eggs and adults and also on spider mites.  At 75º F egg to adult takes apprx. 6-9 days and adults live appx. 20 days

Phytoseiulus persimilis

Originally from Chile, predatory mites prey on all stages of spider mite. Second stage nymphs and adults are predatory. Adults are bright red-orange in color and move quickly. Optimal temperature is 68°F and >60% humidity. Does not do well in high temperatures (>8O°F). Life cycle 2 weeks -30 days
